Get into conversation with each other at the business breakfast

The district of Böblingen is home to many companies that dare to try new things and have developed exciting business ideas. The economic development agency brings them together at the entrepreneur breakfast.

Have an informal chat over coffee and croissants, exchange ideas and network - and perhaps even discover promising opportunities for cooperation. The Böblingen district economic development agency has been organizing the business breakfast since 2017. At irregular intervals and at different venues, companies in the district are given the opportunity to present their projects and business ideas to other regional businesspeople and then discuss them with other company representatives over breakfast.

Each of these events has a different topic on the agenda. In 2017, resource efficiency in companies was the headline for the kick-off event. A project on heat recovery and the work of the Regional Competence Center Energy Efficiency Network (KEFF) were presented

Exciting discussions over breakfast: the business breakfast organized by the business development agency, here at the Baier bakery, has become a popular event format.

From organic baking to digitalization

At the third business breakfast at the SPIRIT/21 Group's premises in the Böblingen/Sindelfingen software center, more than 50 guests learned how collaborative working works at SPIRIT/21. Working together on digital solutions instead of adhering to strict hierarchies: Managing Director Markus Sieber presented an innovative garbage truck that simultaneously reads electricity and water meters. At the fourth business breakfast at the Baier bakery in Herrenberg, everything revolved around the topic of digitalization. Master baker Jochen Baier is not only an award-winning bread expert - as the 50 or so company representatives were able to see for themselves at the tasty breakfast - but also a pioneer of digitalization in his craft business. His fully digitalized goods distribution in the bakery saves time and avoids errors.

In a second presentation, Dr Claus Hoffmann, Managing Director of the Centre for Digitalization Böblingen (ZD.BB), presented the support services offered by his institution as a point of contact for small and medium-sized companies facing the challenge of digitalizing their own business processes. The continuation of the entrepreneur breakfast event format is already being planned. Incidentally, the district's business development agency is always looking for interested companies who would like to present their company and their projects and invite them to breakfast on their premises.
