Free IT training at the Academy for Data Processing
The Academy for Data Processing (ADV) offers completely free computer science training for practitioners for school leavers with an Abitur or Fachhochschulreife who find studying computer science at university too theoretical.
The alternative to a university degree is a three-year dual apprenticeship leading to the qualification of state-certified computer scientist. ADV graduates also have the best opportunities for exciting and varied jobs thanks to their proximity to the business world.

ADV's IT training is not only at a high level, but also close to practice thanks to good networking
From the basics to specialization
The first year of IT training focuses on the basics of IT. The trainees not only learn how to program, but also business administration content. They also decide on a specialization: media, technology or business. Personal support is guaranteed in a family atmosphere with small classes of 25 students.
The special feature of the training is the company internship in the second year of study. The trainees have access to around 600 IT partner companies that advertise their paid internships on the ADV career marketplace. For one year, graduates work on projects and can thus deepen their practical knowledge. Depending on their subject area and interests, trainees can specialize in system administration, web development, software engineering or other topics.
Transition to working life
They then graduate in the third year. The close links with industry make it easy for ADV graduates to make the transition into working life. Many start their professional career, for example, in the company where they completed their one-year internship. Others become founders and start their own business with a start-up or as freelancers. Those who prefer to study after their training at ADV can earn a bachelor's degree in digital business at HHZ in a shorter period of time.
