Digitalization offers companies many opportunities. The district's DIGITALK event series explains how small and medium-sized companies can benefit from this.
Digitalization continues to advance in business life. And that's a good thing, because it automates and simplifies many business processes, can ensure rapid knowledge transfer and more effective collaboration and gives companies more flexibility. Most large companies have already recognized the benefits of digitalization. They use the new opportunities and technologies, but smaller and medium-sized companies often lack the time to deal with questions such as: "What added value does the digital world bring?" or "How can we manage digitalization even with full order books?" alongside their day-to-day business. This is where the Economic Development Agency offers assistance: the annual DIGITALK event provides companies from the Böblingen district with practical information on current developments and projects from the digital world.
Well attended: The annual DIGITALK format initiated by the district
The format is structured in such a way that each time a top-class expert from the industry gives a keynote speech on a current topic or development in the field of digitalization at the beginning of the event. In autumn 2022, for example, Prof. Dr. Gunter Dueck, former Chief Technology Officer of IBM Germany, was invited to give a lecture and inspired the numerous listeners from the district with his expertise. After the lecture, the participating entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to exchange ideas across industries and network informally.
